Divide and Concur? What the actual fuck is happening. And at what point does this turn into handmaids tale, and I’m making light of very concerning shit. The only thing I can make sense of is leaning into the things that make me happy, and bring me joy. The world is scary and I thinks that’s why I like to stay home. Bubbling.  

The current administration seems less interested in solving problems and more focused on keeping people boxed into categories red vs. blue, liberal vs. conservative, urban vs. rural. The strategy is clear: divide, label, and control.

When people are divided, it’s easier to turn them against one another. Distracted by culture wars and identity politics, we lose sight of the real issue the government is failing its people. And it’s not just one party’s fault. The Democratic Party, often seen as the counterbalance to right-wing extremism, has been complicit in allowing corporate interests and unchecked power to seep into every corner of governance. They’re no longer the party of progress(I am saying this but also rolling my eyes bc were they ever the party of progress? None of these mfs want progress)  they’re just another cog in the machine. A machine that is crushing the livelihoods of so many groups that have been stamped as not acceptable. 

Musks bitch ass; a whole  billionaire tech mogul with zero qualifications to influence public policy, yet, clearly intertwined with government affairs and national conversations. HOW AND WHY. It’s clear wealth equals authority- It’s not democracy; it’s oligarchy, and not even thinly veiled anymore. (Reminding you that this was originally written in February lol)

The tea of it all is how the loudest voices claiming patriotism are often rooted in exclusion and racism. You got so caught up in hating the “others.” You helped these mf take our government. Patriotism should mean fighting for the rights and well-being of all Americans, not just those who fit a particular mold. Instead, it’s been twisted into a weapon to uphold the status quo while millions struggle to afford healthcare, housing, and education. INCLUDING THEM. 

At its core, the government is meant to serve the people. Uphold health,freedom and safety. But it’s failing on a massive scale. And as long as we stay distracted by fighting fake fights, those in power (politicians, corporations, billionaires) continue to operate without accountability.
